Along with development of economic, lands for city construction lack gradually and price of land and housing rise quickly. Story-adding of the existing buildings is a good way to solve the problem above and also an effective way to solve the housing problem present. Additional, many structures need strengthening and adding stories to meet require of modern life. But there is no uniform standard for story-adding and lacked theory now. So it is urgent to study story-adding of existing buildings.Differences between reliability theory of existing buildings and new buildings are analyzed and compared. Then, process, methods and principle about reliability of story-adding are advanced. Through analyzing all the methods of story-adding in our country at present, comparing Standard for seismic appraiser of building (GB50023-95) with Code for seismic design of buildings (GB50011-2001) and synthetically analyzing principle earthquake fortification level, seismic appraisal and strengthening and seismic design should be combined with economic level, classification of seismic protection and design working life of story-adding buildings. Design method and strengthening of story-adding buildings are stated. There are two methods of wall strengthening which are sandwich wall and adding concrete column. In the end, a brick masonry dormitory building and a brick masonry teaching building which are added stories by brick or light concrete block are simulated with ANSYS program. Forces and deformation of the structures which are added stories by brick or light concrete block are analyzed and compared. It is of some use for reference for engineering practice. |
