At present, large numbers of old arch bridges are used on roads, the old spandrel filled arch which have a low design load are working in order. During the high road rebuilding, how to assess the supporting capacity and the utilizable value of old spandrel filled arch correctly is the key problem.By model experiments, study on the real circs and internal rule of the arc cooperation-effect superstructure in different combination. Compute the degree of the cooperation-effect in different part of the arch superstructure, in order to get the reasonable and simple computing method. Used the finite element method, make up the modal experiments. In different span and rise-span ratio, analyzed the potential supporting capacity of spandrel filled arch, found out the mechanism and extend of the superstructure cooperation-effect. Base on the modal experiments and finite element method, by modifying the old method, enhance precision of the result and predigest computing method. In the material nonlinear analysis of stone arch bridge, using the continuity modal, study the reasons which leading disease of arch and arch superstructure. By using the finite element inverse analysis method, realized the damage detection for old arch bridge, at same time simulated the real stress on the old arch bridge. Bring forward direct parameter method to determine supporting capacity of old arch bridge, ground on thinking over the cooperation-effect of the superstructure and the capacity-reduction factor of the old arch bridge.
