As an innovative nonmetallic piping product for pressure applications, steel skeleton reinforccd plastic pipe (SRP) represcnts sound combination of high rigidity possessed by metallic pipes with propcr flexibility possessed by plastic pipes, and enjoys superior advantages like anticorrosion on both internal and external walls, high pressure withstanding capacity as well as prolonged life expectancy, etc. Its excellent comprehensive properties make it possible to be widely used in various fields such as petroleum industry, chemical industry, city and town gas distribution, coal mines, metallurgical industry, thermal power plants and municipal engineering and projects.The key technical point of this research project is to study the structure of electrofusion, components and thc reliability of the clectrofusion control box. Firstly, the structure of the electrofusion coupler and the electrofusion Control box are designed; and then they are testcd in practical applications. Based on the findings and expericnce obtained in thc practiccs, the prior design is improved by addressing the defects of the design and the components found during practical uses. As a result, the problems regarding the quality of pipe jointing components is solved, the production reliability of the products and the reliability of the products in engineering constructions are greatly increased and the product becomes more and more well-known by consumers.This research projcct mainly involves the following works: research on means to shorten the reinforcing skeleton inside the electrofusion coupler, material selection and strength analysis of the positioning pin of the pipe firings, and design of new-type automatic electrofusion control box, etc.Through this rcsearch, the following targets are to be achievcd: significant improvement in SRP product quality, reduction in production cost, incrcase of product competitiveness as well as more profit earnings. In addition, the research results can also providc powcrful guarantee for furthcr expanding of the sales circle of the product and cross-regional sales of the product. Generally, this research project can bring remarkable economic benefits.
