As an artificial lift, PCP pump production has the advantages of low investment, simple equipment, easy operation, effective conservation of energy and strong adaptability. These advantages, superior to production by plunger or diving pump, help to reduce cost and increase efficiency in production. With development increasingly difficult in Daqing Oilfield, PCP pump has been playing a more notable role in production by right of its superior performance. In order to improve the quality of PCP pump, promote the technical level on production with it, the important thing is to setup assemble technical regulations on pump examining and testing. On the one hand, the testing regulations can be provided to examine the quality of PCP pump, on the other hand, it can also be supplied to make further research on the new type of PCP pumps, so that it can examine the results of both testing and academic investigating, which is based on the relationship between the structure and work parameters with the performance of lift.A system to test hydraulic characteristic of single PCP pump is set up hereby, which includes the designing of general planning, test processing, mechanical constructing, controlling system of electronics and hydraulics, and data collecting and controlling system with the computer, etc... It can realize automatic assembling of the stator and rotor of PCP pumps, remote controlling of output pressure, data collecting and processing with the computer. After being debugged, this system can be run in site. According to SY/T5549, machine oil N32 is used to simulate operating conditions of PCP pump lifting. Based on test data of pump displacement, rotor speed and torque at different outlet pressures, a characteristic curve is gained, which shows the quality of screw pump and can be used as a useful reference for both manufacturers and users of the pumps. This system, in addition, has been finished in the research of the relationship between the lifting capability of PCP pumps and the rotate speed of rotor and the temperature of media, and pioneered a special topic in the research of the relationship between the axis stress of sucker rods of PCP pumps and the rotate speed of rotor and the temperature of media.With set-up of the testing system, specific result and data can be provided for each pump tested. This system, therefore, can help avoid misusing disqualified pumps in production wells, enhance success rate of pump commissioning, and improve the integral level of PCP pump application in the oilfield as well.
