Currently 6502 relay interlocking and computer interlocking system with relay-based performance units are widely adopted in railway stations. Although computer interlocking system with all-electronic performance units is relatively new, it appears to be the prospective system. To monitor the intelligent performance units is the basis for guaranteeing reliable work of all-electronic computer interlocking system.In this thesis a novel monitoring system are chosen to be studied for the new all-electronic performance units in detail. The software and hardware of the monitoring and simulation test system are mainly designed and implemented. The tasks of the monitoring system, which is based on TMS320LF2407 DSP chip, are analog signal acquisition, processing and transmission. Aiming at the requirements of large quantity, precision and transmission accuracy of analog signal, methods such as Q format, CRC check are adopted to ensure the normal work of the monitoring system during the development process of DSP software. An emulator-based method without requirement of extra RAMs is designed for debugging the monitoring system. The main tasks of Maintenance PC are to monitor interlocking logic units and to conduct storage, analysis and display of analog information from performance units. The simulation system can emulate the interlocking logic units to send commands to all performance units according to actual needs. It can also analyze and save the feedback information from the performance units. All bugs, found in software of the performance units during debugging process, can be classified and managed by logging into a specific server and executing the bug management routine. By integrating advanced software testing and implementation ideas to the whole design process, the security and stability of the designed system are ensured.The monitoring system based on DSP chip and the simulation testing system have been proved to meet the pre-defined needs in practical tests. The systems will be put into field use recently. The prospect of the all-electronic performance units is summarized in the thesis finally.
