With the fast development of wireless communication technology, wireless communication devices have become one of the most popular public communication methods. However, with the convenience of work and life which the wireless communication devices bring to the public, there are still some negative effects. Especially in the hospitals, because of the interference to medical equipments of high frequency electromagnetic radiation from wireless communication devices, abnormality and malfunction occur to influence the results of the diagnoses and treatment. This situation will lead to failure of medical treatment, even the danger of life. This serious problem is becoming the focus of the public.Referring to the project, this paper introduces the basic definition and research domain of Electromagnetics Compatibility (EMC) and the development of EMC standard at home and abroad, makes some introduction to the new EMC standard of medical equipments which is going to be implemented in China, processes the electric field strength test of mobile phone radiation in EMC Chamber, studies and analyzes the American EMC standard ANSI63-18 deeply and establishes the method and procedure of this kind of EMC test according to the practical test situation and finally carries through the test for large numbers of medical equipments base on ANSI63-18. Through the collection of data and the induction of test phenomenon, this paper summarizes EMC characteristic of medical equipments under the electromagnetic interference from wireless communication devices.
