The main work of this research is establishing comparatively normative and integrated index systems for qualification evaluation of nuclear power equipment suppliers taking the typical electrical and mechanical equipment as examples, and performing evaluation on comprehensive capability of suppliers using two-level fuzzy multi-factor evaluation method.With the consideration of safety and cost control, nuclear power plants must sign purchase orders with those qualified even excellent suppliers to get equipment which are of better performance– price ratio. Thus, the qualification evaluation of suppliers is a significant work to ensure safe, reliable, and economical operation of nuclear power plants.The thesis set up comparatively normative and integrated evaluation index systems with hierarchical structure for typical electrical and mechanical equipment suppliers and put forward detailed evaluation requirements, following the obligatory requirements in state's nuclear safety codes and guidelines, referring to the relative requirements of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and integrating relative study results and good practices of both nuclear power industry and other industries.The universal practice of supplier qualification evaluation in nuclear power industry is qualitative and not be able to distinguish the difference of comprehensive capabilities among suppliers. The thesis bring about taking advantage of two-level fuzzy multi-factor evaluation method which based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)– Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation (FCE) to judge the comprehensive capabilities of different suppliers. In this method, evaluation index weights are calculated by AHP method, then fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is utilized to perform comprehensive evaluation from lower hierarchy to higher hierarchy, finally get the quantitative comprehensive capabilities of different suppliers from the general evaluation matrix.At last, the thesis introduce 2 examples of utilizing the two-level fuzzy multi-factor evaluation method to implement qualification evaluation on typical electrical and mechanical equipment suppliers in Qinshan III (CANDU) nuclear power plant. In the examples, it is demonstrated that nuclear power plant can distinguish the difference of comprehensive capabilities among qualified suppliers through AHP– Fuzzy process, and provide powerful support for the suppliers selection to procure better performance– price ratio equipment later.
