Qinshan phase III is the only heavy water reactor in China, which is the copy of the plant in Canada, however, operating data analysis is quite difficult for engineer in the plant because Canada did not provide steam generator level control modeling. Steam generator is one of the most important equipment as the bridge of heat transfer from the primary loop to the second loop during commissioning and commercial service.However, in many cases doing a like for like replacement is not the best solution for the plant. Also because of the complexity of SG and the importance of equipment connected to it, simulating tests should be used to verify that the application does not negatively affected plant operation. A lot of engineers in the plant thirst for knowing the control theory of SG water level control usually.Based on the research thought and development experience of SG level control modeling, this thesis analyze the SG level control system of Qinshan phase III, simulation modeling and transfer function was built by studying numbered commissioning tests. The major research work of this thesis includes:1. Based on the research thought and development experience of SG level control modeling and simulator, model and transfer function of level control was t established by the author. 2. Find out the parameters in the model by analyzing commissioning data of Qinshan phase III including 10%FP step change at high power level.3:Simulate the accident happened in Qinshan phase III in Matlab- Simulink, which include freeze of main feed water flow transmitter and big level control valve fail close.。The simulating result was compared with the real data to prove the accurate the applicable of the modeling.4:Qinshan phase I and II SG level control theory are compared with phase III to give beneficial instruction to future commissioning and training of new nuclear power plant.
