With the rapid development of the economy, more and more bulk-material semi-trailers are needed in our country. However, our transportation undertaking in bulk begins later than the developed countries, and falls behind them greatly. The proportion of materials in bulk is lower compared with them. Therefore, making research on the bulk-materials semi-trailer has important practical significance undoubtedly.In this thesis, with the way of virtual design and analysis, based on the classic theory of multi-body system dynamics, the original and the improved bulk-material semi-trailers vehicle (abbreviation of semi-trailer) virtual prototype are established under the ADAMS /Car—the most advanced mechanical system simulation software. Using virtual prototype simulation systems to carry out handling stability virtual experiments such as: step steer, stable cornering and snaking, we get that there is no too much change in handling stability between the two models—the original and the improved semi-trailer, and the improved semi-trailer is a little better than the original. We do the ride comfort vehicle virtual experiments on the improved model, and the result is according to our demand.The virtually designing and analyzing on the bulk-material semi-trailers, has an important significance during early design, and great significance to reduce the manufacture time and the cost of real prototype.
