Train Scheduling Management, Station Service Management and Device Operation Management constitute Operational Management of Urban Rail Transport. Urban Rail works well depends on different subsystems work with each other efficiently and harmoniously. Now, building an information sharing platform (Main Control System namely, MCS) for Urban Railway system become a main trend of urban rail development. Each subsystem could enhance operating efficiency and cost performance by sharing, exchanging and coordinating with other subsystem, which is good for upgrading and expanding the functionality of urban railway.The thesis is under the background of Hang Zhou No.2 Metro Line, and provides prophase designing for constructing of MCS on system integration and construction. The following are 5 aspects of the designing:1. Defining principle and methodology of designing. Defining the main frame of the system (e.g. control pattern, basic function and control scale) by surveying length of the line, settings of the station and requirements of the project.2. Design of integration scheme. Defining the method of integrating the subsystem into MCS and defining the scale of system integration, which could be confirmed by analysing characteristics of subsystems and considering the development in urban rail automatization technology.3. Designing construction scheme. Based on distributed data service, we provide district distributed constructing scheme of MCS, which is new for current technology. The structure of MCS directly affects the hardware configuration, workload of communication network and software configuration of the whole system. Therefore, we should consult with professionals on mature rail line designing before designing scheme of interface and structure of system.4. Defining the functionality of centralized MCS, station MCS and vehicle section MCS in details, and giving system structure in each level. Optimizing the structure design could lead positive effects for project and be good for building the digital surveillance platform of urban rail transit network.
