Main reducing gearbox is a key part of the auto driving axle and the auto driving system. Its main function is to increase the input torque and decrease the speed of rotation, and its assembly precision will directly influence or decide the precision of the driving axle. Based on analyzing lots of specialized books and literature data, the assembly line of the auto main reducing gearbox was designed and the key technologies were studied referring to the advanced assembly line home and abroad in this paper.Firstly, the actuality and the development of the auto assembly line home and abroad were introduced. Then the structure of the main reducing gearbox was analyzed. For this assembly line must completed mixed flow assembly of multi-variety, so the assembly procedure of multi-variety must be appropriately arranged at first. Referring to assembly procedure, an asynchronous flexible flow-mixed assembly line was designed, and the three-annular general design proposal was put forward. According to the actual peculiarity of the assembly line, some important key technologies were studied, such as the research on equalization of flow-mixed assembly line, plan and the sequence of production. The static intensity of assembly line is analyzed by using FEA. The static intensity and the dynamic rigidity of assembly line were optimized by means of the single-element and the orthogonal test. On the design of its three-dimensional modularization, the systematic research is studied. This will promote the design efficiency.With the assembly experimented and running on the spot, it was proved that the assembly line can largely advance the assembling efficiency and quality of auto main reducing gearbox, and can also improve the whole capability of the driving axle.
