With the increasingly development of hydropower project and the improvement of the level of industry, the hydraulic strobes have been reached the quite grate scale. And the large number of hydraulic project building and running, whose orifice area, operating head and total water pressure have achieved the very high magnitude which reflected level the major targets or quotas of hydraulic strobe. Because the radial strobe has the larger orifice area, smaller height of the flood strobe pillar and the fluent condition is better, the strobe been opened and closed rapidly and has the less embedded parts,therefore,when constructing large-scale hydraulic engineering in domestic and foreign, generally all use the radial steel strobe as main strobe type to take the flood discharge control.But,the strobe device total construction cost is very big for the proportion in the hydraulic engineering structure,so,the strobe optimization design is the effective method for reducing the construction cost.Compares with other structures, the radial steel strobe structure is very complex and the optimized parameter and the restraint condition are very many, it causes the optimized difficulty enlarge. For the radial steel strobe optimized design, there are some experts to conduct the research and the attempt to it in domestic at present, and they had yielded some good results. But, these optimized method generally based on the pattern which were already designs and lacked to the strobe reasonable power transmission structure design. It creates the strobe works when have the unnecessary stress. The radial strobe optimizes based on the strobe physique which have been designed. Like this optimize method no doubt may achieve saves the material and control cost, but, in the optimization, it has not been considered the topology of the whole structure, and still acted according to the experience or the reference similar project means. It causes the strobe overall stress distribution uneven or the stress difference is bigger, the design is complex.In the structure topology optimization process, structure analysis and optimized model as well as design space, feasible domain is unceasing change, and the 0-1 characteristic of topology variable (logical variable) has created the problem as discontinuity and not differentiability. It is different from the traditional structure optimization. It is under the structure geometry parameter determination premise to solve material geometric distribution form when the structure energy of deformation is the smallest. The essence of topology optimization is using the energy principle to achieve the most superior material distributed pattern under the condition to cause the structure rigidity biggest, also is the most ideal power transmission way. Based on this thought, used the topology optimize method to design the rational power transmission way and determination the reasonable radial steel strobe pattern.In the topology optimization, this article explains the steel strobe take a typical topology optimization analysis process as the example the topology optimization. And take this example as the standard, This article carried on the massive numerical optimization experiment through changes the boundary condition and the solution domain, obtained the radial steel strobe on the crosswise frame and the longitudinal frame reasonable arrangement. It enables the structure both cross to avoid as a result of center moment oversized establishing more ribbed plates and saves the material amount used and can cause the king post and avoids the strobe produces oversized difference stress when working, it is helpful to the improvement radial steel strobe operating performance. For the Appraisal the usability of topology optimization result,it is carried on the analysis topology optimization base on a typical radial strobe as a example and carried on the numerical analysis.The research results shows:1) Topology optimization design of the structure has good adaptability, capable of carrying out structural steel gate layout optimization and for global optimization design to create conditions of radial strobe.2) Radial strobe to the main frame stiffness of the biggest targets for the structural topology optimization with the results of its the Ministry of arm zero moment principles of the results is a basic layout of the same. Although they are two different programs starting point , reflected the radial strobe space force structure of the Mechanism to some extent.3) Through a number of numerical experiments, specific topology optimization results shows: Cantilever reasonable length should be the main beam length between 0 .22-0.24 in the framework of the transverse. Top of the cantilever should be a reasonable length of the main longitudinal beams between 0 .37-0.4 and the lower part of the cantilever should be a reasonable length of the main longitudinal beams between 0-0.8 in the framework of vertical.
