The bottom level information interaction terminal (IIT) in the networked manufacturing, especially in the shop floor usage, is one of the key equipments when networked manufacturing is employed. A multifunctional information interaction terminal (MIIT) in networked manufacturing is presented in the paper, by which information interaction, sharability and real-time in and between enterprises can be improved while cost is reduced. The terminal is composed of sophisticated hardware and softwares, in which the File system, which is one of key parts of the terminal, decided on the form of operating system itself information and user's data in MIIT on the storage device organization, is the basic condition and the basic safeguard which MIIT can work stably and reliably. The paper has mainly studied the key technologies of the File system, solved the question of the starting speed slow of MIIT, and improved and enhanced the stability and the reliability of its system in the practical application .Firstly, information interaction terminal and the R&D state of its File system are discussed in the paper. After the system architecture of MIIT, including the hardware and software sub-architecture, is described, the architecture of its File system is presented in view of the storage medium particularity , the power source supplies instability , the migration saves requests , and real-time responsiveness .Secondly, the key technologies of the File system in networked manufacturing are studied, which include VFS principle of work and reduction in the embedded linux, JFFS2 File system realization mechanism research and improvement, physics File system optimization and storehouse function deflation and so on.The paper brings forward a File system solution via using improved JFFS2 to solve the problem of starting speed and using RAMDISK as minimized root file system to improve and enhance its system stability and the reliability .Finally, based on the proposed overall scheme of File system , the File system of MIIT in networked manufacturing is designed and implemented. An application instance case study of the information interaction terminal in the paperless production engineering of manufacturing company is introduced then.
