Research On The New Fluoroelastomer Coat-Metal Gasket For Seal Of Internal-combustion Engine

This paper aims at developing a sort of Fluoroelstomer (FKM) Coat-Metals Gasket that used for the seal of the internal-combustion engine cylinder. The method of painting the FKM coating onto the metals surface is used to prepare the FKM Coat-Metals Gasket. The main work of this experiment includes there parts. At first, using theories calculation combining with experiments to educe the solution parameter of the FKM raw rubber, and taking the solution parameter as basis, comprehensively considering the factors of the volatilization volatility, price, toxicity, the liquidity of the FKM coating to make certain the category of the solvent. Secondly, Taking the analysis means of SEM,DTA,TG, and testing the performance of coat(such as shearing intensity, adhesive strength, hardness degree, flexibility, luster, heat-resistant, liquid-resistant ) to make certain the ingredient of the FKM coating (including the category of the raw rubber, solvent, dilution, acid absorbing agent, strengthening agent, vulcanizing agent). Finally, the impaction of Metal Surface-Disposed method and basecoat was discussed, and the craft of rubber dissolving, glue preparation, painting techniques (including spraying, rolling pressing, showing, screen pressed, etc.) and vulcanization craft condition were researched.At present, this FKM coating has been produced out and passed the testing of several domestic authoritative organizations. The result shows that this FKM coating completely meets the demand of engine working condition. In addition, the full speed and load experiments of the FKM Coat-Metal Gasket which is produced by the coating has been carried out, the test result indicated that the performance of this FKM Coat-Metals Gasket is superior to the same kind product in domestic market, and reaches the level as the products imported.
