Research On The Integration Of Chang-Zhu-Tan Urban Agglomerations Waterfront Image

The waterfront image of urban agglomerations is an important partof urban image, but its integrated theoretical system has not beencomplete yet. The aim of this research is to apply the thoughts ofintegration to plan the waterfront of urban agglomerations and providethe practical methods for shaping the waterfront image of Chang-Zhu-Tanurban agglomerations.The waterfront image of urban agglomerations is the overall outlookof the waterfront of urban agglomerations which is located in waterfrontarea. Starting from this thought, the text puts forward the pertinentconcepts, ideas and methods, and investigates the present conditions ofChang-Zhu-Tan. Then the concrete application for designing of thewaterfront in Chang-Zhu-Tan is discussed. So this paper is organized intothree parts:Based on the concepts of urban agglomerations, waterfront and cityimage, the first part of the article puts forward the concept of "waterfrontimage of urban agglomerations" by the method of induction analysis. Byapplying the system thinking which suggests the method of "integration"to shape the waterfront image of urban agglomerations, the overallwaterfront image of urban agglomerations is shaped by integrating therespective area in the system of waterfront area of urban agglomerations.On the foundation, it establishes the principles and modes for theintegration as well as the solid theoretical foundation for the studies onthe waterfront image of Chang-Zhu-Tan urban agglomerations.The second part of this article investigates and analyzes the presentwaterfront condition of Chang-Zhu-Tan urban agglomerations deeply bythe method of investigation analysis. Setting out from geography, cultureand the urban appearance, it analyzes a whole general situation and thecharacters of the waterfront of Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan respectively,then, so as to conclude the existent disunity. The analysis not onlyprovides actual conditions, but also puts forward the problems need to besolved in the following text. The third part of the article mainly uses the method of integration tothe practical problems combining with the present condition ofChang-Zhu-Tan. Aimed at the space, culture, and ecosystem ofChang-Zhu-Tan waterfront, the research proposes the concrete integrationmethods. The area of waterfront is taken as an example to describe howto resolve the practical problem by integrating. As the keystone of thisarticle, this part discusses the details of shaping the waterfront image ofChang-Zhu-Tan in order to upgrade the urban image for the urbanagglomeration.The research is expected to be able to provide novel ideas to theconstruction of waterfront and the figuring of urban image inChang-Zhu-Tan.
