A Study On Elements Integration Of Urban Waterfront Landscape

The element of waterfront landscape is the basic unit which constitutes urbanwaterfront landscape, it must be considered in the urban waterfront landscape design.Since the current urban planning, structuring under the road network is often a simpletwo-dimensional factors of land designated, and then around the block will betransformed into their spatial form of urban landscape By landscape planning anddesign. While, on the premises and its associated landscape elements lack in-depthstudy, resulting in confusion and fragmented landscape system places, losing the ethosof the region. Therefore, how to start with a basic unit of landscape elements,Through planning and design, integrating the broken, discontinuous, not the fullelements by certain principles and methods, forming a complete, organic, orderlylandscape system, which is the focus of this paper.This paper discusses the development of urban riparian landscape backgrounds,history of the development process, the theory of urban riverside research. Situationin our country, describes the problems on the development of our riparian landscape.In the scope of the study, this article riversides waterfront space research range fromsmaller regional areas to an open space which has an impact on the waterfront in thecity, and mades different types of waterfront landscape elements according with adetailed classification. With the principle of landscape ecology, landscape designtheory and the theory of urban public spaces, discussing the characteristics andrelevance on these elements. Analysis the relationship between the river morphologyand urban structure, the internal relations between waterfront space and urbanfunctions, which makes five principles about the integration of landscape elementswaterfront. And on this basis, proposes an integrated strategy from the city image andthe overall landscape remodeling, and waterfront landscape interface composite twolevels of macro and meso, for future development of riverside landscape model wasalso discussed. In the course of the study, the author conducted fieldwork in Changshariparian landscape. Through investigation, getting more intuitive understanding of thespecific forms of riverside landscape elements, recognizing the problems between theelements of integration. Hoping these integrated strategies of waterfront landscapeelements has some of the reference to the waterfront space in the ascendant in China.
