With the incessant development of the construction technique and equipment, the prestressed concrete continuous beam bridge is developing at unprecedented rate. At the present, a continuous unit of the continuous beam bridge is not limited to 3~5 spans or one unit keeping within 400 meters. The continuous bridge tends toward long multi-spanned ones to exert its better predominance. Our country is a region full of earthquakes. For making sure the safety of bridges under the earthquake, it's necessary to do a dynamical characteristics research of the PC continuous beam bridge and put the design in practice in light of its basic dynamical characteristics. In this paper, two methods including spectrum response analysis and time-history analysis of earthquake are applied to the Danjiangkou construction bridge for transporting water from south to north based on the basic theory of the seismic response analysis. The main content of this paper includes: 1.establishing the FEM calculation model of the bridge on the theory of DYN; 2. considering the influence of the influence of the pile-soil interaction to the seismic response of the bridge; 3. considering the influence of the vertical component of earthquake to the seismic response of the bridge; 4. analyse the mechanical characteristic of the whole bridge on the work of its self-vibration characteristic; 5. obtaining some valuable conclusions based of spectrum response analysis and time-history analysisHoping that these conclusions could be useful for the similar bridges on designing.
