Reinforced retaining earth wall, as a new retaining earth structure, is adopted by more and more projects because of its fine technologic and economic benefit and efficiency. But the research of the affect principle theory is still immature. The current desire theory, regulation method are mainly deal with the strength of the reinforced retaining earth wall. But the particularity of the reinforced retaining earth structure makes the theory of reinforced retaining earth is left far behind the project practice.This paper begins with the strength theory of the reinforced composite soil and reinforced principle. As per the result of triaxial test and the theory analysis forwarded by some scholars, in this paper, the reinforced retaining earth is considered as the composite material, the particularity of the reinforced retaining earth is explained in the macroscopic view, the reinforced friction theory and increment theory of quasi-cohesive force are re-explained, composite material strength formula that meets the needs of both softness and stiffness is deduced.In this paper, the retaining wall of Shenzhen River IIIB section is considered as the engineering background. It introduces the complete field investigation system of reinforced retaining earth wall, and briefly analyzes the field investigation result. Based on it, it imposes on the research of internal force and displacement of reinforced retaining earth wall, models nonlinear FEM of reinforced retaining earth wall. Through the result of the model, it compares the field investigation result with the lateral displacement of the panel, earth pressure, stripe axis force, form of potential sliding surface and the settlement of the reinforced body, and analyzes the differences between the result of model and investigation. It suggests the relevant calculated method and distribution regulation, establishes the prediction settlement model of the body and simulates the each stage of construction under the unit birth method of ADINA.On the basis of the actual construction model, it establishes the common FEM model. As per the lateral displacement of panel, it numerical analyzes each parameter of fill soil, reinforced materials and panel, which leads to some provoking conclusions.Because of the analytical result of the FEM model and the deduction of the formula is accordance with each other, it reaches to a conclusion that the best reinforced section of steel striped reinforced retaining earth wall and the method of directly calculating the anchor fixing length, which simplify the designed process and make full use of the reinforce materials.
