With a large number of national infrastructure construction, retaining wall asa supporting structure is widely used in roads, water conservancy projects, playing a very important role. Inclined anchor retaining wall is a lightweightretaining structure with a small footprint, low investment, strong adaptability, wide application prospect advantages.Currently, the theoretical researches on inclined anchor retaining wall arefew. In a small amount of simulation study of inclined anchor retaining wallusing finite element software, frictional contact between the wall and the earth, the bolt and the soil is not considered, which is inconsistent with the actualsituation. The obtained displacement and stress of retaining wall is led to bedistorted. In this paper, the inclined anchor rod retaining wall is analyzed by usingANSYS elastic-plastic D-P model based on the design of a reservoirroad-protecting inclined anchor retaining wall in Shanxi province. The jointdeformation coordinated development process of retaining wall-anchor-soil-foundation is analyzed in three working conditions by simulating thewall-earth frictional contact with contact element and the construction processwith birth and death element. The distribution of displacement, earth pressure and anchor axial force of the retaining wall are obtained in three workingconditions:1. The displacement distribution of section with height is gentle curve, displacement of wall bottom is greater than that of wall top;2. The earth pressure of the inclined anchor rod retaining wall increasedfrom the bottom wall to the top of the wall and decreased below1m,the totalearth pressure of the back of wall is1.62times of Rankine total active earthpressure;3. Anchor axial force increased first and then decreased. The analysisprovided a reliable basis for the wall reinforcement in engineering design.4. Result of FEM simulation analysis of inclined anchor retaining wallmechanical characteristics is more realistic when the friction is considered.
