Reinforced soil retaining wall is a new type retaining structure.Because of the use of newmaterials to achieve good economic returns, this type of structure has an increasing number ofengineering applications. However, theoretical research is still not keep up with the reinforcedmechanism of engineering applications. Start from the mechanism of reinforced earth,introduce reinforced earth theory in the field of research and design methods, summarizes theway of application of the various reinforced theory and design methods, Introduces the massgeneration materials are homogeneous elastic-plastic theory and shelf theory.Use large geotechnical finite element software Midas-GTS to simulate the constructionprocess and the stability of reinforced soil retaining wall, to study its structure and function ofkey parameters, analysis of various factors on reinforced earth retaining wall internal forcesand displacements the iMPact of changes in the law; Midas’s activation and passivationfunction in the construction phase will dynamicly simulate the laying process of thereinforced soil retaining wall, obtained the internal force and displacement for eachconstruction phase, summed up some of the law and comments:1. Summary of reinforced earth retaining wall in the status of domestic and foreign researchand application of design methods and theories, the problem to be studied andimproved,matching flexible softness and stiffness with coMPatible potential slip surface.2. For reinforced soil retaining wall, when the reinforcements length are short and sparse,reinforced sparse soil enhancement is not obvious, the retaining wall stability safetycoefficient gradually increased with longer reinforcement and encryption, the horizontaldisplacement of the retaining wall decreases, when reinforced the size reaches a certain level,with the increase in the amount of ribs with the laying, retaining wall stability safetycoefficient is not significantly easing, reasonable cloth the tendon way can focus on thequality of the project at the same time enhancing economic efficiency.3. Composition of the material properties and parameters of the retaining wall of each parthave different degrees of iMPact on the stability and deformation of reinforced earth retainingwall. Panel and the soil contact parameters, the reinforcement and the soil contact parameters,have influence on the reinforced earth retaining wall’s internal forces and deformation; thereinforcement and the soil contact is an important parameter of the stability of reinforcedearth retaining wall, a reasonable choice for a variety of materials on the performance of theretaining wall is very improtant. 4. Using the Midas-GTS to provide construction phase cell activation and passivation tosimulate the various stages of the construction of reinforced earth retaining wall, presentedand explained the reinforcement with a double-peak tension in the loading process of theproposed and explained the reinforcement with the situation that there may be existingpressuren. analyze the iMPact of retaining walls heap load to the displacement of the retainingwall structure and the internal force generated.
