HV switchboard is a very important Electrical apparatuses at power station and substation. During the longtime running, the temperature of bus-bar would raise for compounds aging or high touch resistance etc, which could make insulation part performance deterioration and even lead the accidents. Statistics have indicated, many accidents in the electrical power system are related to the temperature. So it is essential to monitor the temperature of bus-bar inside HV switchboard. But the buses inside HV switchgear cabinet are under high voltage condition and the space is too narrow to measure the temperature .These reasons make the direct measurement of its temperature a very difficult problem which has not been solved in practice so far.Aim at the characteristic of temperature measuring for HV switch board, this paper put forward a design that based on AT89C52 microcontrolle to realize control, using the wireless modem of PTR4000 to realize the wireless communication and adopting single wire digital thermometer DS18B20 to measure temperature of the buses, the temperature measuring sensor are fixed on the bus-bar,datas are transmited through wireless transmission module to the receivers fixed on the door of HV switch board and when the temperature is abnormity ,the system adopt many methods to remind the workers to deal with the questions to avoid loss brought by accidents.The system is made up of multipoint temperature measuring apparatus and a IBM-PC as supervisory computer. It adopts a kind of principal and subordinate structure based on RS-485 bus, the temperature measuring apparatus can not only realize data processing and control mission respectively,but also transfer data to the supervisory computer. The software of the supervisory computer adopts VB6.0 to realize the serial port communication graphic displaying and database access technology. The PC can control every slave computer and processing analyzing data displaying and printing data by the software,so as to realize concentrated managing and optimal control. The system is an integrated apparatus of precision temperature measure , the wireless data communication and RS-485 bus .The system rases power system automation level and has successfully application in 10KV distribution system of many steelworkses. So it is reasonable to say that this system will be used widely and make more contribution to the securify of power system operation.
