Along with the development of the numerical control (NC) and equipment industry, various control systems that aims at the digital equipment also have got a quick development. It should be noted that the open architecture NC system will be the development trend of NC system. Built-in PC+ General Controller type, which is used widely, can help to make the NC system much opener. According to the application demands of open architecture NC system, this dissertation works out the framework of the whole digital equipment's control system based on the embedded system with the aim to develop controllers in general use to the Digital Equipment, in the process of the research and development of which some specific actual problems are resolved.A detailed introduction is made to the development of the controller system in general use to the Digital Equipment as well as the the PC104 board's features like, high reliability, modularization, high integration and so on. The Operation system of Windows CE.NET is accordingly designed as the Upper PC's software terrace by the usage of the Advantech's PCM-5825 as the Upper PC's hardware terrace. Besides, with the aim to overcome the original design defects of Motion Control Board, modularized Motion Control Board is reproduced so as to be convenient for the products'upgrading and debugging. Moreover, on the basis of PC104 Bus agreement, the embedded PLC intelligence control board is designed with the adoption of DSP technique to control the number of the outside operating switch and meanwhile to assure the peripheral expansion as well as the correspondence between the Upper PC and the Motion Control Board.In the process of development, the Low Layer Software corresponding to DSP and FPGA is programmed, and the driving program is worked out. The verification through experiments shows that the actual request can be satisfied and the anticipated design goal is achieved.In the end, this dissertation makes a detailed summary of the experience in the research process, puts forward some concrete requests of later development work, and makes a further outlook.
