Semiotics theory has broad epistemology and methodology significance. It can reveal the design's essence and understand design's regularity effectively if it is applied in art design. The various design idea and design methods can be also brought into Semiotics system. Thereby they can supervise design especially effectively.Leisure facilities of outdoors in residential area are closely tied to ordinary leisure activity. It holds usage value, another sides, it is also one kind of artistic form. This paper approached semiotic sense of leisure facilities from semiotics method and construct independent sign semiotic system.
