Now the highway construction of our country is developing very quickly, the concomitance is the unceasing traffic accidents. Formerly we put the reason of traffic accidents on the vehicles and drivers, because of the traffic accident responsibility. At present many researches indicate that the traffic accident was produced by the person - vehicle - highway which joint together, through the person and the vehicle undoubted take the dominant position which the accident occurred, inducement that creates the person and the vehicle were in the danger usually are the road environment. The highway environment includes many aspects, the highway linear and highway territory landscape have big influence to the highway traffic safety. In the mountainous area, the highway linear which mostly are the curve that was limited by the physical geography landform, the territory landscape of whole mountain highway are usually belongs to the natural state, therefore the influence of landscape which in the curve inside to the driving safety is bigger than landscape of other highway sections. Based on the above reasons, the article researches on Modeling and Simulation of the driving safety & sight inside the mountain curve highway, there are many practical meaning that enhance the safety of the curve highway.At present, most researches are only on the macroscopic highway safety, and mainly aim at the path linear as well as linear combination studies. On the research of the curve highway safety were only on the cirve radius, vertical slope and so on, has not embarked from the curve landscape. Our mountainous highways, there are many curve highways, the main reason which leads the traffic accidents is the sight distance dissatisfaction with the driver's demandment, so it creates the drivers misoperation, then causes the vehicles to run out traveling line or the collision of the two vehicles which from the different orientation. The article based on the influence of the landscape in side the curve highway and the driver sight distance. Considered the characteristics of the curve and landscape inside the curve highway, the article starts from the vehicle speeds that don't slip, then calculate the drivers'moving sight distance corresponding to the different speeds, the landscape motionless sight distance formed by landscape inside the curve which give the drivers. Based the position where the vehicle and the landscape were, compare the landscape height with driver sight height to get the connection between the driver moving sight distance and the landscape motionless sight distance, when the landscape height is bigger than the driver's sight height, then calculate margin between the two sight distance, contrarily when the landscape height is smaller than the driver's sight height, there is no influence which the landscape is to the driving safety. The article considers the driving safety including one vehicle driving safety and driving safety of two vehicles which are from different orientation. The curve radius which this article research is the small, when the landscape have the influence to the driving safety, there have some certain sight margin corresponding to difference vehicles position.If the margin surpass ten meters, the landscape have the serious influence to the driving safety, when this state being surpass five meters, the vehicle is in danger state on this highway circumstance. Based on the above conditions and the relations we design the model about landscape inside the curve highway influence to the driving safety. When there have some bad influence, put some safety or warning establishment to enhance the road driving safety.The importance of the model establishment is to solve the actual problem, therefore the article take topic research road–- a small radius curve highway in the k4+400 + 600 section of the An Tu to Er Dao Bai River road as an example, simulates the vehicle driveing on this curve, gets the influence degree that the landscape to the driving safety. We use programming language to realize the model movement; the article uses the Visual Basic 6.0 make the process come true. When operate the procedure, we can obtain the driver moving sight distances, the landscape motionless sight distances, and the influence degree datas. Use the datas from the model to judge thesafety speeds that the landscape to the driving safey accoding to the landscape height and the position which the vehicle was in. Whether the result of the simulation running is fit for the fact, the article validates it through adopting the actual speed which the vehicles drive on the curve highway. In the project research process, we took the key research on this curve highway, survey the different spot speed which the vehicle drive on them, contrast the actual survey speeds and speeds obtained from our model simulation which there is no danger influence the landscape to the road driving safety, find two speeds are similar and all the upper limit speeds of the model simulation are higher than the actual speed, because we can increase the simulation speed to the danger state.The article Research on Modeling and Simulation of the Driving Safety & Sight inside the Mountain Curve Highway, through improving on the model that this article found, we can study others radius curve highway and the highway linear combined by the curves and slopes, so this research has the far-reaching influence and found certain foundation to the future research about the landscape influence to the highway driving safety.
