TIA Reasch Based On Traffic Simulation

With the quick urban development in our country, urban traffic problem has become more and more serious than ever before, especially in big cities. The newly built projects, the reconstruction of the existing projects and the alteration of land using all have different impact on the traffic. According to this problem, using the external study of TIA (Traffic Impact Analysis) for reference, the paper gives the answers to some basic questions such as" What is Traffic impact analyzing? Why should we analyze traffic impact?"And then, the author describes the development and present situation in TIA study. And summarize the process and methods in each step, and then gives a new method of how to determine the impact area in TIA-"improved circle model", this method which made intersection as its study object is based on the technology of intersection analysis. It can determine whether the intersection should be studied in TIA by way of comparing the average lost time of cars in one intersection before and after the project was developed.In the forth part of this paper we give the advice of using traffic simulation technology in TIA and summerise the flow of using traffic simulation in TIA.After comparing several simulation-plats we determine to use Vissim which was developed by PTV, Germany. And then the paper also simulates the running conditions of surrounding road networks and intersections before and after a business building was built ,and confirms the traffic influence quantitatively, then we presents some plans to improve the road networks condition, and appraises these plans.At last we forecast the prospect of TIA.
