The reclamation engineering has been an efficient method to alleviate the conflict between the supply and the need of land resource and extend space on the coastal, which also has huge social and economic performance. But it will lead to the increasing of load on the earth's surface, and threaten the safety of underground pipeline. When the pipeline is constrained at the two ends, and undergoing the equal pressure, it will bring great bend and distortion; when a buried pipeline undergoes the different additional pressure, it will distort and become deformed due to the pressure difference. The induced bending moment may lead to destructibility of the pipeline. This paper is based on the engineering in the harbor industry area of Tianjin. According to the trait of strength that the pipeline undergoes all around and actual status of engineering, first the solutions of initial point parameters of the elastic foundation beam is taken to analysze the stress of the Boxi pipeline. According to conditions that the pipeline is buried in the soil, boundary conditions are dealt with correctly, and the style of load is transferred from three-dimensional to two-dimensional, the different styles of loads and boundary conditions are calculated respectively. The equations of displacement, shear force and bending moment of the pipeline are obtained, and the characteristic curves are drawn. The calculation results show that the curves are related well with one another, which explain the calculation is correct. And the maximum of stress is calculated, the factor of effect is analyzed. Then based on the limited pipeline the finite element program ANSYS is used to analyze and calculate the unlimited pipeline, and get ideal results that are consistent to the calculation of the limited beam method. The consistency and correctness of two kinds of calculational methods show the rationality choice of theory and boundary conditions are dealt with correctly. The results can be consulted by the engineers for pipeline protecting.
