This thesis described the realization of ISA300 protocol embedded into line protection devices.With the development of the economy and the improvement of our living, computer line protection devices are being applied widely in electrical automation. Computer line protection devices based on Field Bus seriously influence the security, stability and efficiency of electrical automation. CAN bus, as a kind of Field Bus, which bears a variety of advantages such as high transformation velocity, long transformation distance and superior reliability, has been gradually adopted in Integrated Substation Automation.This thesis firstly makes a further design based on a kind of computer line protection device in order that the hardware design turn to be more complete and software structure more reasonable. Experiments present that the measurement result becomes more accurate and relay chatter turns to be solved. Moreover, this thesis describes interconnection details between devices and PC, ISA300 protocol of ShenZhen NARI adopted. PCICAN9810 CAN card is utilized as a communication interface in PC, Visual C++ as programming environment and SQL Server as database software. CAN controller inside TMS320LF2407 is adopted as a communication interface of the device, CCS as programming environment. Double threads are applied in both PC and device programming: one is employed to receive and process data and the other is to transmit data. The transmitted data include two kinds: event message type and cycling type. In the end, a serious test is eventually accomplished. Test results demonstrated that measurement accuracy conforms to professional requests and protection functions are realized. Remote functions are realized as well, such as telecontrolling, telemetering, tele-signalling, event information transformation, settingings modifying and so on.
