The flood control engineering of NianChu River in Tibet is one of the flood control engineering in "one river two streams" of Tibet, which is one of eight key Hydraulic engineering projects of the western, defined by MWR (Ministry of Water Resources). Due to the standard of it is low, the past flood control engineering seriously threaten the life of people on the coast of NianChu River and their property. At the same time it seriously restrict the development of local society and economy.Combining the existing condition of NianChu River with the order of nature, starting out from reality, and exploring the progress of the flood control engineering of NianChu River, this thesis mainly make clear the rules of fluvial processes, put forward the reshaping measure of main stream by CRS-1 mathematic model of fluvial processes. Under field survey, seven proposals of bank protection and six proposals of slope protection were chosen. After economic comparison and analysis of research, proposal of bank protection of steel reinforcement cage dry-laid stone were adopted as well as proposal of slope protection of wet masonry precast concrete. This proposal of embankment protection is reasonable, feasible and suitable to the local practice. The achievement of research provide the dependable foundation for reshaping engineering of NianChu River.
