The arch dam is a structure with many redundant, and its base surface is a spatial curve with the complex shape usually . In the recent years,the antisliding stability of dams is focused on by lots of scholars. The arch dam should be have the ability of anisliding in a certain extent and we take it as an important part in checking the safety of dam.Combining with the project practice of BaiShan pumped storage power house, the aritical discusses the change of initial stress field and initial displacement field for the underground plant's excavation.The rigid body limit equilibrium method is always used on the antisliding stability of dam before,however, the method isn't precise enough to solve the problem and it's inefficient.Since that the article emphases the effect of the antisliding stability for the underground plant's excavation,the 3d FEM method should be used in the simulation. After the discussion of the constitution of the concrete and the rock,the article calculate the loads of temperature in the chapter 4.Thinking about the temperature stress takes an important part in the analysis of stressof dam,we show the distribution of temperature stress for some sections of dam . Then , the article shows the initial stress field,the initial displacement field ,the induced stress field and the induced displacement field with a method of coupled relationship of temperature a nd structure.In the last part of article ,it discussed the effect of antisliding stability for the underground plant's excavation of some focused sections of dam .The computation results show that the excavation of the underground plant will effect the anti-sliding stability of the dam to a certain extent . However , it won' t change the dam' s safety factor of the anti-sliding stability obviously. The project can go well in theory as well as the supporting and observation works well . However,the research provides lots of important eperiencefor more projects like this in the furture.
