On the basis of the vast collecting the concerned information, basing on the wide investigation and research, combining with the actuality of the domestic electric power market, according to the request of modernization and automatization, using the technical principle of joining automatically collecting and managing system for the information of electric energy with power line carrier communication technology, we have devised automatically collecting and managing system for the information of electric energy. The system can automatically read, process and analyze the information of electric energy by specialized facility in which some kinds of advanced technology are adopted such as communication, computer network and so on, it can also deal with the abnormal things timely and exactly.Firstly, in this paper the shortcomings of the traditional system for collecting and managing the information of electric energy are introduced, the current state of several systems for collecting and managing the information of electric energy widely used home and abroad is discussed, the merits, shortcomings and scope of applications of these systems are analyzed. The application mode of domestic system for collecting and managing the information of electric energy is presented.Secondly, according to the practical circumstance of our country, we select low power line carrier as communication mode. The technology of power line carrier communication, the channel's characters of power line and communication modes widely used are explored, we also compare clearly some existing power line modem chips with each other, as a result, we select ST7538 as power line carrier modem in this system, ST7538 is not only adapt to the structure of our power network, but also has good performance and powerful function, its peripheral circuits are simple, ST7538 is fully expounded in this paper. Then the designing principle, modes of the structure of automatically collecting and managing system for the information of electric energy are discussed, the scheme of this system are put forward, diagram of hardware of the system is provided, woke principle of every unit and the design of hardware and software of the system are in detail presented. At the same time, the simple module for pulse processing is presented which can be easily put into the common mechanical watt-hour meter, the communication specification and the diagram of software of the system are expounded in detail. We choose Visual Basic 6. 0 to develop gathering terminal and SQL Server 2000 for its DBMS. The software system realizes automatically collecting the information of electric energy and many other functions, it improves the level of intellectualized, automatic and scientific management for power consumption and provision of power greatly.Finally, things of using the automatically collecting and managing system for the information of electric energy and its improvement are expounded, according to trends of modern electric technology, computer network technology and the technology of automatically collecting and managing system for the information of electric energy, and then we predict the future development of automatically collecting and managing system for the information of electric energy.
