A Study Of HEJ Design On Washing Machine Operation Interface Based On The Human Factors Theory

With the development of modern science and technology, a washing machine operation interface has been changed on the function, shape, color, material. The users demand that operation interface not only can wash, but also can be harmonization, ease and joviality with the customer and environment, which is HEJ. However, at present the HEJ of washing machine has not been thoroughly studied. So this thesis will be a study of HEJ design on washing machine operation interface based on the Human factors theory.This thesis mainly talk about application of the human factions theory in operation interface, making visiting and investigate of users to set up user models, and according the user models to study HEJ of home washing machine interface, and then make washing machine operation interface accord with the HEJ demand .Human factors theory is about personal different factors which cover social psychological factors, sociology, ergonomics, aesthetics, symbolism and so on. A final user model can be setup after analysis of user's values, physical factors, psychological factors, sensing attributes and recognition attributes, living environment and working style. A good operation interface seems to be a bridge which connects customers with the products and be familiar with each other. Therefore, a final user will obtain a safe, easy, comfortable and clean operation interface where a customer can achieve HEJ which can achieve the targets, user's values and working style, in order to enhance living quality and taste.This thesis is focused on elderly group consumer in China. As the time being, old people have been changing internal physical and psychological factors continuously. Washing machine is diverse, complex functional and operation interface tends to be complicated now while there are few which tailor to elderly group consumer. Under those conditions of satisfactions of washing machine technological functions and considerations of consumer's psychology and consumer's using behaviors, the thesis is composed in a systematically designing method for a washing machine which can be operated easily and smoothly, so that the shape and content of product can perform wonderfully and uniformly, and more accord with the users' total HEJ demands.
