Abstract/Summary:
CATIA is a main design software which concentrates on CAD/CAE/CAM for modern auto design.It not only can do three-dimension mechanism structure design fluently, but also can do the analysis for mechanism's stress, deformation and mode. So we can predesign for car and auto parts with CATIA, It not only promotes the quality of auto, accelerates the development of product design, and shortens the period of manufacture, but also can realize 3D design for auto parts and the incorporate and digital for engineering analysis.This paper is combined with the science and technology department's item"The R&D of ELSD". On the basis of domestic and foreign advanced research results, we do some theory research for Limited Slip Differential, and on the platform of CATIA V5, we have done the Electronic Limited Slip Differential for the structural design, virtual assembly, interference analysis, motion simulation and finite element analysis of important components. Specific studies include:1. Introduced the CATIA V5 software and the technical features of the functional modules briefly. Deep analysis of the unique function of CATIA------DMU and finite element analysis module, also do some research for virtual assembly technology, electronics technology for the analysis of space interference. CATIA V5 lay a technical foundation for differential's modeling and integration of the project analysis; for Differential's non-paper-based and digital design provided a favorable software platforms.2. Limited Slip Differential is the renovation and improvement of ordinary differential, which overcomes the shortcomings of ordinary differential only average torque distribution; Electronic Limited Slip Differential can control the adjustment of friction torque according to the road condition, The friction of the ground can achieve the maximum degree of utilization. This paper analyses all kinds of Limited Slip Differentials, and studies the structure and principle of Electronic Limited Slip Differential and with CATIA V5 done the Electronic Limited Slip Differential 3D design.Basis on the use of CATIA V5 solid modeling module, this paper completes the design of the differential parts, focusing on: Left, Right shell, pressure plate and Axle gears ,floating structure of entity modeling; and with CATIA V5 assembly module completes the assembling design of the differential.3. For the interference check of the electronic Limited Slip Differential which this paper designed, on the platform of CATIA V5 and use of its electronic prototype space module we completed the analysis for intervention. According to interfere results: as the size of planetary gear axle and the right shell is inconsistent caused interference between the two parts. Therefore, through analysis, re-entry the part design of CATIA, improvement the planetary gear shaft parts design: the total length of the structure is relatively large Therefore, amending its size to 94mm. After more interference analysis found no differential interference, dimensions and structure are reasonable.On the condition of the Differential structure without interference, CATIA DMU module simulates Limited Slip Differential movement. This paper describes the model of the Electronic Limited Slip Differential Movement and the establishment of further ingredients, in order to examine Differentials on the different conditions the left, right axle shaft speed law:a) Left, right axle shaft equal rotational speed law: automobile driving along a straight road in good condition. The Electronic Limited Slip Differential motion simulation prototype can be used and the main gear reducer can be drived. In this way that can achieve their movement. Through the left, right axle shaft speed simulation sensor, two-axis movement curve has been found : left, right axle shaft speed equal, At this point differential only shows the dynamic role and doesn't takes part in differential, that complies with the vehicle operating conditionsb) Left, Right axle shaft Partial differential rotation law: on the condition of the car driving turning, using of the differential motion simulation prototype, driving the main gear reducer orders and the right axle shaft gears and planetary gear orders the movement can be achieved. Through the left, right axle shaft speed simulation sensor, two-axis movement curve has been found : two-axis rotation speed is constant value but not equal, But two-axle differential speed's sum was twice the speed of the differential housing. Differential and its law correctly, complying with the vehicle operating conditions.c) Left, Right axle shaft Partial limited-slip law: when the vehicle is operating in different friction coefficient road, If the side of wheel high-speed is rotating by high speed, it can also make use of the main driving gear reducer orders, the right axle shaft gear and planetary gear driven orders, and torque output level gear-driven motor terminals orders, They work to achieve the status of the motion simulation. Through the left, right axle shaft speed simulation sensor, two-axles movement curve has been found: fast rotating wheel speed decreases. Another side of the wheel speed is gradually increased, and always at the same time two wheels speed's sum is twice the speed of differential case. Therefore, the condition of the vehicle at this time complies with the simulation laws.According to the motion simulation result curves, it shows that the differential mechanical structure design is correct4. With CATIA V5 finite element analysis GPS module, Electronic Limited Slip Differential's important components could have been done static finite element analysis.This paper describes the outside friction lining with Finite Element Method, a in-depth study of ELSD when it works in limited-slip differential function. Study the outside Lining the maximum stress and the stress distribution and deformation of the largest position. As radius range of friction lining has an important role in manufacture process we take a range of different values Lining radius to find the minimum largest stress and deformation through comparative analysis. The analysis found that, in general, generally design and technology will receive a range of 1 mm radius. However, the radius of 0.9mm, the friction lining has both the minimum stress and deformation. Therefore, this paper re-design the friction lining structure.In addition, the paper also researched other important parts of transmission mechanism, such as: Floating parts. By finite element analysis, results from the stress and deformation map shows that the floating parts meet the requirements.The results show that: the differential has a rational structure and movement law is correct, the strength of the parts meets the requirements. The system is designed to provide maximum slip torque transmission to meet the requirements, and good to meet the system requirements.
