Limited slip differential as one of automobile fittings, improved the active safety of vehicles and avoided the drawback that the ordinary differential is not bad twist effectively. Improved the ability of driving car traveledin the complex pavement. Therefore, it is an important research direction to study the design of limited slip differential.In this paper, we comprehensive analyze of the advantages and disadvantages of the current limited slip differential and describes the existence impact for the vehicle performance. We have designed a new type limited slipstructure on the base of spurplanetary geardifferential. It used the advantages of the transmission by the straight gear and made up for the defect that Spurplanetary wheeldifferential cannot limit slip.The whole process of design and research mainly used the theory of design and computer aided engineering technology.We have designed and calculated series of parameters systematicallyin certain models. Usingthe software of SolidWorksto build a virtual three-dimensional model,and carry on the analysis of kinematics and multi rigid body dynamics simulation in ADAMS software.We have divided multiple condition simulation according to the pavement of driving cars, and compared the results with theoretical datafor analysis finally. By using the finite element software HyperWorks to carry out finite element analysis on the key parts of the differentia, made the optimization design of the structure of the housing, and analysisthe optimized result to be convinced.The multi-condition simulation results show that the new limited-slip differential can achieve limited slip and differential effectively. It can be seen that the results is conformed tothe theoretical derivationboth from the speed distribution and the torque output. The finite element analysis results show that the differential shell structure fully meet the strength and stiffness requirements in the critical conditions, and can effectively avoid the resonance region in the process of work. The verification results of the structure optimization show thatit can optimize the structure of the shell and effective implementation of the lightweight structure and saves spaceunder the condition of the intensity and stiffness safety. |
