Research a Limited Slip Differential(LSD)for matching domestic micro-car in order to work out the lack of traffic-ability.In this paper,the technical demand of LSD impacting driving of vehicle is determined exactly.The performance index of LSD,optimization structure parameter and constraints are defined.The structure parameters of LSD which meet with the driving performance index are optimized and determined.The following aspects are aim researched in this article:1.The mechanics model of helical gear LSD is built.Based on the helical gear LSD,the mechanics of core components analyzed,the dynamical model is built and the relationship between core components and LSD performance is clarified.2.The structural parameter of LSD is optimized.The mathematical model of LSD is established,the optimal goal function of LSD is built,the structural parameter of LSD and geometric constraint condition is determined,and the structural parameters corresponding to the LSD performance index are optimized.3.The 3D model of LSD established by UG software,and is imported into ADAMS software,the rationality of the optimization results is verified by comparing and analyzing the optimal LSD structure parameters compare with non-optimized in this way.4.The mini-car model is built,the LSD model is established.Simulated the vehicle steered in the road conditions of open road,snake-like and other typical styles.The influence of LSD for performance of vehicle stability and traffic-ability is analyzed after optimizing.It can be concluded that the optimized helical gear LSD can obviously improve the anti-skid effect through analyzing the dynamic of helical gear LSD,simulating on the virtual prototype and simulating the vehicle.The conclusion can provides theoretical and technical support for the traffic-stability and active safety improvement of the mini-car.
