With the fast development of domestic investment in capital construction and the western China exploitation in these year, the stability problem of slope is increasing accordingly.Actually, during the process of project construction and running, sliding accidents tend to happen more often and bring about catastrophic result in life and property. Therefore, how to simulate the slopes' deform process, analyze the stability and make out safe and effective defending and harnessing and support measures is becoming a problem worthy of important theoretical and engineering significance. The stability analysis of the slope project is a very important work in the field of geotechnical engineering and a focal problem of the geotechnical engineering field. the finite element methods judges slopes' stability status by analyzing the results of finite element, without assuming the shape of slip and predigesting reactions between slips. Appraising the current methods of slope stability, using finite element methods, A elastic-plastic finite element model for stability analysis of the rock slope is set up based on Drucker-Prager yield criterion and uses ANSYS software to make a concrete analysis of the high steep rock slope stability In this thesis. This thesis reviews the development of The stability analysis of the slope project and slope supporting technology at home or abroad, introduces the principles and characteristics. This thesis analyzes the embankment patterns of slope and the disadvantage influence of the slope stability. The study introduces the theory about the stability of slope. Summarize the current methods of slope stability and analyze the advantage and disadvantage of this methods. Finally, a slope were studied by using the two-dimensional elastic-plastic finite element program, During the calculation, the deformation, stress distribution and yielding state before and after supporting were analyzed respectively. The result shows that, the analysis methods and prevention and cure measures for this slopes are feasible.
