As a primary geological disaster, and one of the most important geological and project problems all over the world, landslide is difficult to forecast because its effect factor and movement mechanism are variational and complex. Actually, as long as there is water, there is interaction between stress-field and seepage-filed. The effect on the 2 fields is dynamic, and the 2 field structure solid-fluid coupling relation. The paper studies some problems which appear frequently in the finite element calculation theory of geotechnical engineering. It lays a strong emphasis on the discussion of the following problems: how to ascertain and add the initial geostress field; how to modify after the cells are destroyed; how to simulate the contact between different materials; how to solve the nonlinear equation by FEM.This paper calculates the solid-fluid coupling of slope by the general-purpose FEM software ABAQUS. Considering the constitutive relation of soil has the character of obvious nonlinearity, Duncan-Chang nonlinear elastic model is used to simulate the constitutive relation of soil in numeric calculation. On the customized development platform of ABAQUS, E-B mold corresponding enhancement is developed. And the result calculated in improved program is proved correct by the conventional triaxial test.Based on the engineering examples, stress strain of slope is calculated on three corresponding different project conditions. And it is indicated that the slope has gone steady which is only loaded by its self-weight. However, when there is seepage loaded, displacement field and stress field of slope will change a lot, and the slope will go unsteady ultimately. As a result, anti-slide pile is adopted as timbering of slope. According to the renewed distribution of displacement field and stress field, anti-slide pile is effective on slope timbering. Finally, a slope safety factor is determined by using the finite element shear strength reduction method, and the slope safety factor is compared with that calculated by limit equilibrium method. The safety factor is identical to that calculated by the limit equilibrium method.
