Demonstration Study Of Community Planning Based On Government Planning

Recently, the structure of social organization is transforming toward urban community, which is also a hot topic in urban planning academia. The trend that community planning becomes a type of urban planning is inevitable. However, community planning indeed cannot be made under the current urban planning system because of the difference between the ways of plan making and implementation and the demands of communities. Meanwhile, a gap still exists between the government planning which is from top to bottom, and the community planning from bottom to top. Therefore, a deeper investigation of the theories and measurements is needed to change community planning into a routine from current conceptual stage.This paper takes the community planning of Yuzhang Street in Nanchang as a case study. Based on the official regulatory plan and the real situation of the community, it advances the necessity of the combination of the official planning and community planning. The paper also discusses the ways to make and implement community planning under current specific backgrounds. Meanwhile, it also expounds and thinks of the problems happened in the process of community planning. Finally, the paper puts forward six proposals based on the problems with which our community planning had confronted.
