PLC (Power Line Communication) takes the popular power line as communication channel. It can realize the high speed internet communication and realize"four net in one"by provide internet service. Now people are interest in the PLC system. Using this technical, we can build wide-band internet for dominate. Also we can build LAN by pulse. But power line is built for transfer power, so there are many problems needed to be solved for transfer data.OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex) is one hot technical to solve the data-transfer in PLC system.. By using Cycle-Prefer, OFDM system can decrease ICI and ISI. At the same time ,it will provide a good frequency usage ratio.As programming logic device, FPGA is excellent in short-design period, little cost and venture. It can be modified and programmed time by time till you are satisfied with the design. It has convenience and agility, can accelerate the digital system design. The article puts emphasis on how to realize synchronization in OFDM system by using FPGA.Firstly, the basic theory about OFDM is been introduced. Also development history is been introduced.Secondly, the PLD device characteristic is shown, such as classify, technics and structure.Thirdly, the synchronization in OFDM system is discussed.Fourthly, the realization of synchronization using FPGA is introduced. Also, the emulators of system are shown.At last, some conclusions and advice are given to improve OFDM system.
