This thesis focuses on the development of the ultrasonic data-acquisition and processing board. Functions of this module are to control AD conversion, filter the ultrasonic signal, and control the data transfer by means of USB bus.Firstly, the technology of detecting corrosion with ultrasonic is introduced. On the basis of present foreign and domestic projects, a hardware structure is proposed. And this thesis describes the data-acquisition and processing board. This board has the characterization of high data-transfer speed, and the flexibility to expand its functions by changing the software in it.The data-acquisition and storage system includes two parts: hardware design and software programme.Hardware design of the data-acquisition and storage system consists of confirming the system scheme and the chip type, designing the figure of circuit principle and PCB, welding and debugging the hardware circuit, which is comprised of Power, A/D, FPGA, SRAM module, etc. The Software programme consists of VerilogHDL language code which is used to achieve the function of FIFO and FIR on the FPGA, the codes of the firmware and the codes which are used to transmit date to PC and display the data on PC.
