The rail transit mode is applied in many cities in order to solve the traffic problems that are more and more serious. With the continuous accumulation of constructing experience, it is realized that a rational evaluation for the rail transit network is the precondition of its effective operation. How to evaluate scientifically is the key point for urban transit network programming, as well as troubles for decision-makers. An integrated evaluating method is put forward and discussed in the paper.In this paper, the maximum relating gray method with adjustment confirmed by fuzzy level is proposed upon a mass of researches on integrated evaluating methods and experience in practice.The evaluating index system is firstly set up on the people-oriented and serving- passengers'principles by analyzing the traffic traits in our country. Five evaluating rules consisting of the service level, construction and development of the city, operating efficiency of traffic line, estimation of social economy and difficulty grade of construction are analyzed, in which the relations among passengers, operators, builders and the whole society are also taken into consideration.The adjustment for indices is analyzed by fuzzy level method. In order to overcome the disadvantages existed in the traditional analytical method, such as inadequate, inaccurate and subjective information existed, the fuzzy level confirming adjustment method, whose particular steps are ultimately set up, is proposed with the AHP theory combining the knowledge of fuzzy mathematics and arrangement analysis.In the stage of integrated evaluation, influence factors known or not, which are of an obviously fuzzy character, are extensive due to the complicated urban rail transit system. A recommended scheme is ultimately proposed with the maximum relating gray method under integrative considerations of every influence factor.In the end, the evaluating method is proved by the estimation of WuXi urban rail traffic network scheme. It proves that the researching method used in this paper has a favorable effect, as well as referenced significance and applicable value for future estimation.
