The background, classification, and characteristic of fuel cell were reviewed at first. And then introduce history, principles, pivotal technique, and application field of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell briefly. It was discussed that the evolvement of electrocatalysts in detail. In the experimental section the dissertation explored the methods of preparation of electrocatalysts of PEMFC. By the experimental methods of microwave radiation the catalysts of Pt/C and PtRuNi/C were prepared. The effects of several preparation variables on the particle size and morphology of electrocatalysts were studied to provide clues for fundamental understanding of preparation process. The particle size, morphology, electrocatalytic activity and stability of in-house electrocatalysts were measured and compared to the same type of electrocatalysts prepared by the traditional methods. Through compare the advantage of the methods of microwave radiation in the electrocatalysts preparation process is expounded. In addition, several factors that affect electrochemical property of electrocatalysts are studied, such as pretreatment of activated carbon, different methods of preparation of electrocatalysts, selection of reducing agent and the solvent, the size and property of carbon carrier, the particle size of noble metal electrocatalysts, morphology and performance and so on. And the properties of electrocatalysts were characterized by different ways including BET, TEM, EIS and cyclic voltammetry in this paper. The results show that the methods of microwave radiation have more adventages to prepare the electrocatalysts of PEMFC than the traditional methods. By the way the alloy nanoparticles that it has appropriate and uniform size and highly dispersed on the carbon carriers can be prepared. The effect is satisfied to treat the activated carbon by HNO3. As the reducing agent the formaldehyde is a good choice. In the experiments the polyol system was introduced. As the solvent the isopropanol is better than the glycol.
