The purpose of studying the Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) control and management system is to apply the PEMFC to the electric propulsion vessel. Compared with the traditional diesel power supply system (or petrolic power supply system) and storage battery power, Fuel Cell has the merits of no-pollution, high efficiency, low noise, and much more steady working performance. However, the performance of Fuel Cell is influenced by gas pressure, temperature, humidity, exhaust gas etc. This dissertation analyses the effects of pressure, temperature, and humidity on the performance of PEMFC. The relevant control method is provided, too.In this paper, the significance of research, and the primary content are introduced. Then the correlative conception of PEMFC, the composing of Fuel Cell system, the principle of Fuel Cell is described in detail. According to the relevant analysis, the general control method of the power system of PEMFC is provided. In accordance with the analysis of the important factors that effect on the PEMFC, the detailed control method is given. According to the control method, the hardware and the software of the system are designed. To test the practical result of the experiment, the correctness and the feasibility of designed method is proved by the waveforms, which come from the oscillograph. In the end, the content has been summarized. And the optimized control method of system is provided. The outlook of application of the PEMFC to electric propulsion vessel is prospected.In the designed control of system, oxidant adopts constant pressure air. The hydrogen is supplied by high-pressure hydrogen storage. The supplied hydrogen pressure is obtained by 2-step decompressed valve in order to realize lowering pressure and steadying pressure. The pressure of gas is set at a certain value according to the analysis of the experimental data. Humidifying of gas adopts constant temperature tank and fibred humidifier to humidify the air and hydrogen. Testing of humidity adopts HS1101 humidity sensor. The measurement of temperature adopts DS18B20 temperature sensor and the measurement value is displayed by LEDs. The Fuel Cell temperature is controlled by cooling fan which adopts PWM control.
