Research On Landscape Planning And Design In Rural Tourist Area

The rural tourism in Chengdu, after more than 20 years of development, from early Nongjiale to recent rural tourist areas, is entering scale, standardization, and high quality of the development stage. The development of rural tourist areas not only conforms to the big ideas that the country would build socialist rural areas, and, would coordinate with urban & rural, but also coincides with the needs of living close to nature and keeping simple style. So it has been promoted to an important position by party committees and governments at all levels, and has shown great prospects for development. However, the rural tourist area, after all, is a new thing, the relevant theoretical study and practical guidance are both lacking. Theoretically, it is a new concept, lacking of rationally elaborating in theoretic system. It is to make sure of some related concepts, define its meaning, and make it known better for the public. practically, it is a new development model of rural tourism, the landscape planning and design are still in the stage of exploration, lacking scientifically and effectively guiding on the way of the landscape planning & design, so we should explore and summarize from practice. Under this background, the research on landscape planning and design in rural tourism area, has important practical significance and academic value, which is a course that the development of rural tourism in Chengdu is urgently facing.The research try to integrate tourism theory and landscape theory, review a number of research results on rural tourism and rural landscape, and expatiate more systematically around the landscape in rural tourist areas. It has defined the concept of rural tourism area, analyzed the main elements of landscape planning and design in rural tourism area. On the basis of a number of investigation of latest situation to rural tourist area of Chengdu, the author chose some main rural tourist areas as subject to detailedly investigate, summarized successful experience and problems of landscape construction in rural tourist areas of Chengdu.
