The Application Of Geology Of Mechanics In Failure Mode Of Rock Slope

This paper mainly studies the failure mode of rock slope, making use of the geology of mechanics putted forward by famous expert Xu Bang Dong, from analysis the mountain body structure, the accurrence , character and division each other of rock structural plane .this paper abstracted several frequent failure modes of rock slope from the engineering examples. Usage this method analyzed a large and complicated slope failure mode, names K108 slope located in the highway come from Bei Jing to Zhu Hai, and with limited method, monitor data, FEM etc., various analytical method contrast, the conclusion is basic consistently. The mainly research contents and results as follows:(1) Introducing the geology of mechanics putted forward by Xu Bang Dong theories foundation and method of investigation and analysis .(2)Put forward a few frequent failure modes of the rock slope: ① The failure mode of the mountain contains goaf slide for river.② The slope creeps and slides caused by ancient faulted rock mass reval.③ The failure mode of slope composed by cores of tectonics.④ The failure mode of the peak acontaining skew trees fallows big landslip.⑤ The failure mode of collapse of slope which located in the dauk.⑥ The failure mode of a group of layered rock slopes.⑦ The failure mode of "V" collapse of slope located in the crashed soft rock makeing up of long axis or short axis.⑧ The failure mode of landslide along the fault.⑨ The failure mode of landslide have several failure surfaces in thetectono-fracture zone.(3) Analysis the failure mode of large and complicated slope—K108 landslide. get several pressed structural planes inclining the river. The soft terranes horned along the pressed discontinuities and the slope landslide along these soft terranes. The conclusion conformed with the field investigation and the monitor data. And simulate the failure mode by use of the ANSYS software. These analytical methods contrast, the conclusion is basic consistently. Validating the result from the geology of mechanics method.
