Rock slope is a slope form mainly posed by the large volume of rock,it is oneof the most common geological environment in the nature and is widely used inroad, rail,pit, mine and other construction activities. Nowadays, with more andmore large-scale construction projects are building in the world, a variety of slopedisasters continue to occur, then causing enormous losses to the state and people’slives and property. Therefore, rock slope stability analysis becomes an importantresearch in geotechnical engineering activities, while the core content of slopestability analysis, therefore, do rock slope stability studies have a very importantpractical significance in our country.Based on rock mechanics,rock fracture mechanics and the basic theory ofminimum energy consumption principle, to study the failure mechanism of rock,focused on the crack propagation conditions and the expansion of the law in rockfailure process,and derive the corresponding fracture criteria. Then used theresults of the study in rock slope engineering, do a more detailed analysis of thefracture process and rock slope instability situation,there is a certain role inpromoting the stability of rock slope. Its main content is as follows:(1)according to the basic theory of fracture mechanics and the minimumenergy principle and the previous results of the work,do a more detailed study ofthe way of rock internal crack propagation,fracture criteria, from the mutualrelations within the multi-crack rock crack propagation process the failuremechanism of the crack rock. Use the theoretical results conducted a in-depthcomputational analysis on overall destruction process of more than one crack rockslope.(2)in the general environment, on the basis study of rock fracture damagemechanism,through analysis the damage variable and the crack intensity factor,study the failure mechanism of crack rock in a complex environment-chemicalcorrosion environment, and establish the crack rock damage evolution equationand fracture criterion,and study the crack propagation,perforation. Then throughcomparative analysis with the test results in chemical corrosion environment,verify the validity of theoretical studies results.(3)through the secondary development of the FLAC software, proposed the calculation measure of the factor of safety based on Minimum energy consumptionrate, through the preparation program to establish corresponding computationalmodel. Based on the models and numerical methods,do simulation studies ofinstability process of the destruction of rock slope engineering and calculated thecorresponding safety factor. Does a comparative study with strength reductionmethod,the slope stability analysis method based on energy methods not only cansimulate the process of slope instability, and the calculated stability factor ofsafety is more reasonable and effective, it is a good rock slope stability analysismethod.
