| With the rapid development of Nanning urban construction recently, many high-rises building are popping up. And involved foundation engineering problems are becoming more and more complex, the depth of foundation is increasing, so the mudstone of Tertiary often are choosed as the foundation supporting layer and supporting layer of Pile top of the important and high-rises construction. Therefore, it is inevitable to involve the problems about determining the geotechnical parameters of mudstone . Because of the particularity of the mudstone formation and the environment and the interaction of kinds of humanity activity and projection, enables the mudstone experimental parameters to have the divergence and variation. It often displays the uncertainty and fuzzy. So it is important to research the relationship between the factors and the mudstone mechanical parameters in order to provide the real, accurate and reliable geotechnical parameters. Some laboratory tests based on existing instruments must be designed to solve effectively primary factors affecting the mudstone mechanical parameters. Our goal is to achieve "feed backing", " recovering " or " returning" the real geotechnical parameters of mudstone.Based on the above goal, this paper obtains from analysing the factors influencing mudstone mechanical properties, in order to find the main factors affecting the nature of mudstone.
