According with the widespread availability of refrigerant installation and equipment and the substitute for new refrigerant, some research should be done for the influence of new refrigerant on the refrigerant installation and equipment. The compressor performance test system can be used to test the refrigeration capacity and other parameters related. Based on the present research status of compressor performance test system and the problems appeared during the compressor performance test system being used, this paper has done some research mainly from theory and experiment about the compressor performance test with new refrigerant and other problems related.Firstly the compressor test and the compressor performance test system were introduced in detail. From the national standards about compressor test, four testing methods and three checking methods about were introduced. The secondary refrigerant calorimeter method was introduced and explained mainly and it includes the system composition, the testing principle and the main controlling parameters. In order to compare the influence of the initial refrigerant and the new refrigerant to test system better, the volume refrigeration capacity per unit, COP and the ratio of pressure were calculated and compared from the basic refrigerant loop. And the influence of controlling accuracy to test system by using substitute refrigerant was calculated. For the hardware of the system, the influence to the pipe, dry-filter, meters and lubricant oil by using substitute refrigerant were discussed and the problems needing to care using substitute refrigerant were point out.Based on the theoretical analysis, the coherent experimental research was done on the existing instrument. According to the analysis of the experiment result, the influence of changing the suction temperature to performance, the influence of changing ambient temperature of compressor to performance, the influence of sealing compressor to performance and the influence of condition stabilization and state stabilization to test result were analyzed. The analyzing result indicates that when the ambient temperature of compressor rises, the compressor works in an unfavorable ambient and the shell temperature and discharge temperature rise, while the performance and refrigeration capacity reduce.
