Using the portable intelligent transfusion equipment, the patient can walk freely during the transfusion, which eliminates the discomfort as a result of longtime staying on the seat and avoids the troubles in the traditional transfusion. It can be used simply, conveniently and reliably so that the waste of human resources will be decreased greatly. The accuracy of transfusion capacity and speed can be controlled. When there are some accidental situations during the transfusion, the equipment can stop the transfusion immediately in order to prevent the accident. It can also help the nurse to work easily, and make the transfusion much safer, more accurate and more efficient.This paper analyzes the advantage and disadvantage of common medical transfusion pumps and the main reasons which cause the pulse during the transfusion. A new type transfusion pump has been designed, and the feasibility of the design are proved available. It is clear that the transfusion pumps which consist of rotary dishes can help to weaken the pulses, and to control the transfusion more accurately. The design also gives the details of all the parts of the new type transfusion pump.The step motor has been chosen to drive the transfusion pump, whose type and capability are validated and suit well with the pump. The step motor driver circuit are build by using chip L297 and L298 and it is controlled by Single Chip Microcomputer. The concrete methods of intelligent transfusion control are presented which conclude the way to control the transfusion capacity and speed and to accomplish the job of other assistant functions.From the studies of the methods of photoemission, capacitance and ultrasonic to detect the air in the transfusion pipe, the best way to detect the air is the use of ultrasonic. According to the principle of ultrasonic detecting method, the ultrasonic air detector has been designed. The measures of increasing the detecting sensitivity and improving the detecting precision have also been expounded and demonstrated.The paper also finds out the primary factors of the influence on the transfusion precision, and discusses the methods of its improvability.
