The 21st century is the century of fierce competition for energy. With the predatory energy exploitation, energy has gradually become the bottleneck restricting the development of national economies, which is more evident in our country. Because of our large population, less energy resources and low level of domestic supplement, energy-lacking is the basic national condition from the point of long-term energy supply and the total. There are two ways for solving the problems, one of which is to exploit the renewable energy, and the other which is saving the existing energy. Because of its low power consumption, little vibration, low noise, easy installation, and no damage to the ozone layer, the lithium bromide absorption refrigeration system which takes the industrial waste gas, waste heat, solar energy as its drive force has became one of the hottest research fields. On the basis of the lithium bromide absorption refrigeration system, the lithium bromide absorption chiller uses the bubble pump to replace the mechanical pump which greatly reduces the use of energy. As the core component of the lithium bromide absorption chiller, the performance of the bubble pump determines the efficiency of the system.Mathematical simulation of the shape and the movement of the bubble are conducted to observe their regular patterns. Based on the bubble pump pressure model, effects of bubble pump diameter, heating power and etc on the bubble pump performance are also discussed in the paper. The results show that the bubble forming is different when the working fluids are water and lithium bromide. When the working fluid is water, the small bubbles gather at the wall and then go upward from the wall, but when the working fluid is lithium bromide solution, the small bubbles will jump upward from the wall immediately and gather in the process of movement. With the tube diameter and the heating power increases, the maximum lift height of the bubble pump increases significantly.
