Since the speeding up of our country's railway system in 1997, the malfunction rate of the 16V280ZJA diesel engine has increase dramatically. Among them, the malfunctions of the fuel injection system cannot be ignored. They mainly are: it's unconvenience to disassembly and assembly the fuel jerk pump, the serious cavitation wear of the high-pressure department, the poor reliability of the fuel injector and the short periods of the disassembly and assembly. The occurrence of these malfunctions have put a badly affection on the transportation and production of the railway system, so it's urgent to do some improvements about them and puts forward the improving measures, such as improving the compress fashion of delivery valve, improving the type of needle valve and enhance the pressure of the eject fuel etc.With the increasing awareness of the environmental protection, every country has pays more attention to the pollution caused by the discharge gas emits by the diesel engine. Until now, our country has not made legislations on the emission, but in order to meeting the needs of environmental protection, enhance the ability of competitiveness, it is necessary to adopt the advanced technology to reduce the harmful emission. We should maintain the performance and then reduce the emission as much as possible in the process of improvement.In order to ensure the reliability of the post-improvement accessories, this paper adopted the advance finite element analysis software to do the stress analysis. Finite element analysis is an advanced calculating method that is developed as the development of electronic calculates. It is a numerical method that adopted calculator and matrix operations to do the calculation and analysis for the complex engineering problems and structures. The finite element analysis has became the reliable tool for the products design and performance analysis of various industries.The ANSYS is one of the most effective finite element analysis software.
